Mass Effect 3 Teaser

Since my first post was about Mass Effect 2 I thought I should say that Mass Effect 3 will be released at the end of the year and it looks promising since we will finally get to see the Earth for the first time in the game.

Game of the Year 2010

Well, it was a huge debate like personally, I have never seen before, between Bioware's Mass Effect 2(PC, XBox360) and Rockstar's Red Dead Redeption (PS3, Xbox360). Well I usually follow everything that comes up on the bigger websites such as gametrailers.com or gamespot.com and most of the times the reviews are quite different on many aspects(generally different opinions on the facts that create a game review). While GameTrailers chose Mass Effect 2 as GOTY(Game of the year) GameSpot chose Red Dead Redemption. Now, owning only a PC platform I will just stick to PC gaming on this Blog, so I will give you a point of view on Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect 2 created by Bioware and published by EA is a 3rd Person Action RPG(Role Playing Game) that starts right after the first title. Your name is Commander Shepard and your goal is to save humanity from the "Reapers"(some kind of a Mechanical-Organic hybrid race that threatens the survival of the Human Race).
Now into the story and there might be some Spoilers but I will try to keep it short of spoilers. So you begin the game in the "Normandy SR-1"(your ship from the first title) and suddenly a strange ship warps in and starts attacking the vessel. Some crew members die, most survive though and manage to flee in the escape pods. Shepard stays behind and runs to save Joker(The Pilot who suffers from a bone disease so he can't move on his own). After managing to drag Joker to the Escape Pod, something blows up and the Commander only manages to press the launch button and saves Joker, but he gets dragged into Space and see Shepard fall into the atmosphere of a planet.
Cerberus a Pro-Human Organization spends a ton of credits to bring Shepard back to life and after a cool cut scene you enter the Character Customization screen. Here you can create your character and after you do that, you can choose from 6 different classes:

• Soldier : Pure assault class(like warrior in most RPG's)
• Infiltrator : Tech class good against long range attack
• Vanguard : Uses Biotic powers and are good at short range with the shotgun
• Sentinel : Uses both Tech and Biotic powers
• Adept : Takes full advantage of Biotic powers, don't rely that much on guns
• Engineer : Strongest Tech class that can disable even the heaviest armors

The coolest thing is that if you actually played Mass Effect 1 and still have your saves, you can actually import your character from there, and you won't need to go through all this creation part.

The game play is quite unique for an RPG because of the gun system which sometimes may have a few bugs, but you won't really notice them, the tactical positions work great and you need to master these moves if you want to end the game in one piece, also you can you can tell your companions what powers or weapons to use against enemies. You can customize your armor, upgrade your weapons and even your ship. The voice acting is as good as the first one, if not even better, the graphics are great all in all the whole game is great if gaming websites gave the GOTY award to this title. So put on your N7 helmet and armor and start playing this Epic Work of Art created by Bioware.
